Pin Index Multiflow oxygen regulator
This oxygen regulator can be used with pin index D size oxygen cylinders
(as used by most ambulance services in the UK) and can produce flow rates
of between 0.5 and 15 lpm.
Cost:       about  £130
Advantages: 
- high flow rates for effective emergency oxygen therapy
- lightweight and robust
- cylinders are easily changed
- more suitable for prehospital use than bull nose type regulators
- only need serviced every 5 years
Disadvantages:
- none
Tips
- rent D size oxygen cylinders from BOC or Linde for about £2 per month.  Each D size will give 30mins oxygen at 10 lpm.  Contact BOC on 0800 111333 or Linde on 01698 842221.
- the other commonly used oxygen cylinder type uses a bull nose connection.  Bull nose cylinders cannot be used with pin index regulators and visa versa.
